Dr. Jianhao QIAN

PhD - University of Science and Technology of China (2024)
BEng - Dalian University of Technology (2019)

Bio

Dr. Jianhao joined Prof. AN's research group as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2024, where he focuses on investigating the stability of nanobubbles and the mechanisms of wastewater treatment.
Before this, Jianhao earned his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in June 2024. During his doctoral studies, he worked on confined gas transport and membrane separation, with a significant contribution in refining the Knudsen theory for free molecular flow, under the guidance of Prof. Hengan Wu and Prof. Fengchao Wang. From November 2023 to April 2024, he was a visiting scholar at Yale University, where he worked with Prof. Menachem Elimelech on gas transport mechanisms in membranes.

Outside of academia, Jianhao is passionate about photography, particularly astrophotography, capturing the beauty of the cosmos. He previously served as the president of the USTC Photography Association.

Research Interests

  • Stability of nanobubbles

  • Wastewater treatment mechanisms
